A new report today exposes the real green cars - and there's not a hybrid in sight in the top 10, according to researchers at Cardiff University. Conventionally engined superminis dominate the top ranks. The scientists gave half their score based on each cars' emissions of CO2, NOx and other pollutants; the other half of the score was calculated from vehicles' construction, energy costs, recyclability and size.
ASTON MARTIN Works is raising a glass this month after a record March that saw its best monthly sales results yet. The special showroom for the iconic British firm saw the extreme V12 Vantage S and the extremely beautiful Vanquish Volante lead the way in sales, with well-to-do buyers racing to place orders for the earliest deliveries of the two newest Astons. Based at the historic home of Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, Aston Martin Works has for almost 60 years been home to either the factory or, more recently, the brand’s specialist heritage, restoration and servicing operations.
Here's a sweet deal: Help find a black 1962 Chevrolet Corvette stolen from celebrity pastry chef Duff Goldman, and he'll give you a lifetime supply of birthday cakes. Goldman, star of Ace of Cakes on the Food Network, says the Vette was boosted from his brother's driveway in Sherman Oaks, Calif., last week while he was out of town for work. "I'm pretty sure I'll never get my car back," Goldman told the Los Angeles Times, "so I hope whoever has it loves it as much as I do, drives it as fast as I did and plays the radio as loud as I did.
